MINDSET

  1. Which mindset do you think you are a part of when it comes to "intelligence"? According to the reading, what tells you that you are of this mindset?
Growth mindset. The sections on the website about effort and embracing challenges are some of the characteristics that I'am experiencing right now.
  1. How has this mindset helped or hurt you in math?
Growth mindset has inspired me to push myself and study new materials that I havent learned during my previous classes. Overall it helped me review some of the basics and understand some of the complex material we are learning right now . Grrowth mindset is very helpful, but just because I study alot and read doesnt mean ill do good right away. In Calculus we are constently studying the material for the AP test. Because of the amount of time we have to finish , we cant stay too long on one section of material. Growth mindset takes time to process, yet math is constently moving.
  1. What is your reaction to finding out that the brain is just a big muscle that can be trained?
No reaction. The brain is like a big muscle and I knew that. It kindaa relates to my theory of the brain , kinddaa like a sponge taking water.
  1. How do you see this new piece of information affecting your future?
I see this new piece of information as a new way to judge people. From the way people interact with others to succeed in school , I can ffigure out who is like me in the future.

  1. Hm. Interesting take on how you see it affecting your future. I guess you can tell a lot about a person from reading this. Hopefully, you can start changing mindsets for the better that way!
